Civil, courteous, well-reasoned discussion of the life-and-death issues of self-defense and personal responsibility. There aren't too many places around where you can discuss such topics and both (a) hold your head up and (b) put your "left" down. The formula works. Kudos! Keep it just as it is. And, let us know when/where we can help.

Think of us as well seasoned, rather then two or three times your age. And let me remind you that inside every old person there is a young one wondering what happened :)

Did someone say civil? LOL. No wonder I'm sent back to my box after every posting. Gee ya'al forgot to tell me I had to be civil.

Congrats on the new status kiddo. It is really refreshing to see the next generation picking up the love and driving forward with the passion we all grew up with.

Mmmm, did somebody say donuts?? Make mine a white creme-filled one!

But seriously, I've had my CHL license exactly one year last weekend and will celebrate my momentous one-year anniversary at cc.com in March. I'm indebted to all the members here (not to mention the mods & admins!!! ) for their wisdom, insight, and practical advice.

Now with that said can I have a donut????

I really like the fact that the forum is well moderated. I limit myself to posting/membership on only one forum for each of my main interests. Both the other forums I am a member of are also tightly controlled. I am the biggest defender of free speech anywhere but I have no time for trolls or flame wars. Neither will be found here!

I totally agree this site is great. I love reading through the vast knowledge placed in these threads. Thanks. I still don't have my CPL, but will get it soon. I have really enjoyed learning from all of you.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate you saying so. Some complain about the "tight ship" here, but I think it is necessary to keep things civil and held together.

Hey, Gun Loving Liveral, I thought I had offered, but if I haven't, shoot me a PM if you would like your member name changed. I can do that for you easily.....

Bumper, do NOT give in to them!

I am very involved in another forum that started out emulating what you do so well here. Regrettably a few loose cannons have been allowed to damage an otherwise good forum, resulting in some people leaving in disgust and even I have tapered off my heavy involvement as a result.

Don't worry, Len, I'm not. It's too bad, but what happened to the forum you mentioned seems to be the way many evolve over a period of time. Our staff is pretty diligent here and we discuss issues pretty heavily in the staff area. It's not uncommon now for our members to report something that is starting to heat up in a thread or the sudden appearance of a spammer. I would give up before I give in to chaos, and I have no plans to give up....
