This is a good site regardless of what you call it. I particularily appreciate canning the political, religious and rant posts. There are a few other fine sites where rad political-religious stuff is even encouraged...this place is too mature for that and respects the diversity of those who carry ... a big atta boy!

IMHO we/I carry for the unfortunate days that I have and I might still be required to engage in defensive combat to save my butt or someone else's.

I understand the PC-impression nature of the your concern. I do not think it makes any difference.

I really do not care but voted to keep it the same hoping it might help folks realize that when the stuff hits the fan, it is combat and they should prepare for it!

If the site was named DefensiveCarry.com I'd feel more comfortable checking it while I was at work.

I'm not going to get combative if the name changes to defensivecarry and I'm not going to get defensive if the name stays CombatCarry...

But, I cast my 1 measley, stinkin' vote for

    DefensiveCarry.com

    I personally prefer CombatCarry.

But I will freely admit that DefensiveCarry is definitely more descriptive of the atmosphere and information here. Reputation excluded, I think that as "DefensiveCarry" we will probably be more easily found by like minded individuals looking for a place to call home.

That said, despite my personal preference, I have voted DefensiveCarry.

I'm still a newbie here compared to the oldtimers on this forum, but an 18 year old voting for the first time has the same clout as a 60 year old voting for the last 40 plus years.

So, I vote for DefensiveCarry.com. That name clearly states what this place is all about.

But, you are still the big kahuna, Bumper, and we know you will do what's best for the forum.

I'll be back no matter what you decide to call it.

I'll chime in for DefensiveCarry.com also. But as has been said, it's the people that make all the difference. What great forum! Thanks, Bumper, for all your efforts to keep it that way.

CombatCarry... You started it... why mess it up with a name change?

I love the site as it is, but the name doesn't matter really, and actually I fall in with the others on changing to defensivecarry when you're ready for the upgrade - the name is just more relavent to what the site is about.
