For what its worth, when I first saw this forum, the "combat" portion of the name made me think it was more for military personnel. I had to visit it a couple times before I got the correct feeling of the site.

Combat Carry has a more military sound. DefensiveCarry feels more civilian and would probably generate more activity (1st timers and such).
Whatever is easiest for you and the good folks running this thing.This is the best site available.I'm in either way but vote f/change.
I'd offer assistance but I still type w/two fingers and get lost easy.

I voted Combatcarry becuase I fear change.

But I really don't care about the name it is the content and memebership

Defensive Carry does better describe what this place is all about. Like some others, I've had to explain that Combat Carry really isn't about Rambos and mall ninjas more than a few times. My primary concern while carrying is defending my family, not getting involved in combat. Defensive Carry would seem a bit less "militant," especially to the uniformed public.

IMO, "defensive carry" more appropriately nails down what this forum is about. "Combat" suggests a whole litany of bad, evil things. When cc.com grows enough to take over the internet's attention span, I suppose it would be better to be seen in a good light. I don't think it would lose any steam doing so, particularly so early in the game.

If a name change is being considered, then I'd think defensivecarry.com would be perfect.

I have no cares either way. I like this site and the way it is set up and run, and I feel certain that if there was a change it would be in name only and not in atmosphere. That said, since you have already registered both URLs, why not create another place? (If one is good...)

I don't think I could handle the possible loss of the forum for a week while the recommended changes are being made. I voted DefensiveCarry for a smoother transition.

I really have no preference. I'm a real big fan of this site and I'm very grateful for the information and camaraderie it provides. Although, P95Carry, has a point DefCarry does much better suit our mission.

i personally like combatcarry. it rolls off the tongue, but whatever works best is just fine with me.

My preference would also be towards DefensiveCarry seeings how thats what I do.
