Yes, we boil river water every morning as soon as we get the fire going right after we gather the firewood and kindling.
We try to boil enough water to drink all day right at the crack of dawn.
We're not allowed to use the really pure & pristine water 'cause (naturally) Bumper needs it all to keep the swimming pool topped off.
Whatever water is remaining after sundown (after the silt has settled to the bottom of the cauldron) we're permitted to rinse our socks & underwear out in.
It's a great life. We love it.

In the beginning there was the word, and the word was Bumper.
He gathered the finest zeroes and ones from all of cyberspace and put them in a little box.
Soon, he garnered a following of like-minded souls who had gazed upon his happy place from afar and came to join him.
The little box got full of knowledge.
Then word spread out to all the angry, destructive little boxes around the world that there was a better place, a place where you don't get punched in the gut for saying you like 9mm, or strangled for saying you have a Glock and a 1911.
The little box grew too full, there were blackouts and all manner of gremlins.
Bumper started receiving donations for the cost of a bigger box, a bigger, happier box with room for even more knowledge and friendly folk.

    But that's another chapter.

P95Carry once had a very vivid and real dream that if he ever stopped typing on his keyboard he would turn into a giant pumpkin.

And I can even see Chris' little piggies, along with his white socks and sandles peeking out from under the <waist> of the "pumpkin"

Seriously though, This Forum has one of the most diverse and knowledgable folk I have ever run across. I would say that it would be in the TOP 3 rating, if there was a poll of similar sites. Based on the way the site has grown, It's sure been a huge success!

    Most enlightening!

Thanks, guys. Got all the "gods" to come online. Very informative. Can't believe you've been around less than three years. Following the threads, though, methinks some of the mods have been smokin' doobies.

No gods, here, just a bunch of gun toters for the most part. I've been thinking maybe they've been smokin' something, too...

It's just the usual lead poisoning.

Bumper and the crew make it hard to visit other forums.

I don't want to spend my CC time away at another forum.

To me the best thing about this forum is that in addition to being able to learn things from more knowledgeble people (which is just about everyone), people are tolerant of my wacked out lame ideas.

Even when people take exception and point out how I am really full of it, they find polite creative ways to do so.

Like most gun people, I am an opinionated old cuss. However, occassionally I change my belief based on some of the arguments I participate in here.

Isn't that what its all about in the first place? Exchange ideas and learn in a family environment.

    Gee, I love this place!

Good thing I'm not a moderator. I could use a little less feeding as it is.
