    User ranking?

    How does the ranking system (stars and titles) work here on Combat Carry?
    Training means learning the rules. Experience means learning the exceptions.

    We used to have a FAQ item that explained the posting levels for the different number of stars, but it seems to not be there now. I don't know them off the top of my head, but the information is somewhere in a post. I'll see if I can find it in a bit....

    IIRC the fifth red star is earned upon the 1000th post, and 'distinguished member' at 1200th post, I forget the earlier ones.
    But they are awarded on a numerical basis and it's easy enough to determine by correlating other members stars and status with their post counts.

    0.02 meant send the handguns to the mods , for your star treatment.

    No, he meant send them to the forum administrator. I'll give him all the stars he wants....

    I will give out stars - for ammo received. It must however be in cases or battle-packs!

    This post I think sums up the hierarchy ..

    http://www.combatcarry.com/vbulletin...8&postcount=19

    Number of posts = Number of stars = Member status
    5 = 1 = Junior Member
    50 = 2 = Member
    250 = 3 = Regular Member
    500 = 4 = Senior Member
    1200 = 5 = Distinguished Member
    2000 = 5 = VIP Member
    6 stars are reserved for Moderators, Senior Moderators, and the Administrator. At six stars no post count is required but still shown.

    And it should be said that post "padding" for stars is very much frowned upon!

    Not that any CURRENT member would ever do anything like that!

    I would NEVER be guilty of post padding!

    Every one of my posts is just as stupid, trivial and meaningless as the previous ones.

    One of these days, I will have a honest to God original thought. When I post it, you will hear trumpets in the heavens and my stars will turn to a beautiful golden color.

    Until then, its just me and my babble!
