Bumper I will say I got seriously messed up when this site went down. I was setting up a wireless network for some friends at their new apt and could not get onto my testing site. Confused me for a good 5 minutes.

Yes, they are. I honestly have never seen anything like them in a web hosting company. I had this email when I got home today:

A credit of $114.00 has been applied to your account as per SLA on 05/14/07 outage.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

I've not seen this level of service and commitment in a long time. Kudos to Mark at Tranquil Hosting....

I'm not absolutely positive, but I believe it is credited if the downtime isn't resolved after 4 hours. The fact that they offer and voluntarily credit their customers, in this day and time, seems generous to me. Very few hosts offer an SLA....

Bumper, everytime Mark does something like this - the great customer service - I get to feeling like Chris about his stepson. My chest swells out and my eyes get a little cloudy. I didn't raise Mark, but that one summer seems to have made a great deal of difference in his life and in his way of doing things. He tells me that it made the difference and I accept that. I'm really proud of that boy.
