    Smile New forum staff

To help us keep up with our continued growth and better manage DefensiveCarry.com I am very pleased to announce two new moderators joining our staff. Limatunes and Captain Crunch have generously accepted our offer to help us keep things tidy and running smoothly. We're proud to have them both....

The forums that moderators are assigned to are pretty loose, actually. All of our moderators have the ability to moderate threads and posts in all forums. That being said, we try to keep staff officially assigned to a particular forum/forums. Expect a re-order in the near future....

    Sorry for the flippancy

I am not sure as yet actually, as to what sections might be ascribed.

That's ok, I knew you were joking, you haven't said a mean word to me yet - even when I called your avatar an emu.

Lima is an ambassador for carrying, I hope to see great things from her moderating this site.
Of course her blog will suffer now... maybe.

Maybe just maybe in the future there will be a female specific sub-forum? Between Betty, Pax and Lima we have great mentors.

If we had the numbers of ladies I'd like then it could be a thought - but you know, that said - and despite the likes of Lima, Pax, Betty and others who I love to see here - in a sense we are all shooters and defence oriented. That is our common ground and in many respects not gender sensitive.

OTOH there are aspects such as lady's carry and gun choices but - thus far at least, those subjects in posts have been pretty well covered by the membership in general.

We used to have one, actually. At least until I took Betty's advice and killed it. Having a female specific forum to many implies to some that women should engage in their own topics instead of in all forums. That made sense to me after considering it a bit. They are shooters that just happen to be women....

    Good point.

Of course, it took a woman to point that out to you...
