    Competition Shooting Sub-forum?

It seems like we get a fairly steady stream of threads about IDPA, IPSC, USPSA, and so forth. Is there any interest in starting a "Competition Shooting" sub-forum under "Tactical Training"?

I think it's a good idea. Make this thread a poll, maybe? See what the mods think after a few days of poll results...

Good point, Pete. Now...is there a way to add a poll after the thread has been created?

I think you'll have to start another one.

    Competition Shooting Sub-forum?
I could go for that. Did my first USPSA shoot this weekend.

Perhaps the best way is to ask Bumper if he would consider creating another sub forum? If you click = Thread tools I believe you can attach a poll.

I requested a competition sub forum a long time ago and was shot down.

For reasons I have stated many times, I don't add forums beyond what we have now very easily. If there is an overwhelming interest, possibly, but I do not want to draw people with no interest in our focus (concealed carry) that are primarily interested in competitive shooting. It dilutes our focus.....

Hence why I cleverly suggested it as a subsidiary of "Training" rather than "General"...

Seriously, if the Powers That Be don't want it, that's fine. My take was just that, particularly with IDPA, there is a strong contingent of people who see competition as a part of the CCW practice.
