I think I figured out the IE problem...
IE IE IE IE IE
ETA: Woohoo, I guess it was IESpell check...Ignore words in Uppercase did the trick. :embarassed:
IE IE IE I don't get it.
Maybe I'm just special...Or Bumper just fixed something....
There is a setting called Send Internet Explorer 7 Compatibility Header, which I set to "yes" after reading the explanation:
"Sends an HTTP header that instructs Internet Explorer 8 to render pages as Internet Explorer 7 would do so, rather than enabling full standards-compliance mode, which may result in rendering problems for templates that have not been updated for IE8."
I am probably not going to make much more of an effort to insure that our template, which is heavily customized, is compatible with IE, specifically. Everything looks good in FireFox.
Went to do my first post since the upgrade. Presented with:
Rules are currently being re-worked....
But I must accept them before I get in.
It seems the certification that we read and agree to the forum rules is premature since one cannot see the new rules to read them.
I'm sure the changes are reasonable; however, the certification is not meaningful for now.
There are only four rules to remember anyway!!!
as long as you type in english, you're fine...
The rules were a casualty of the upgrade, but they will be back soon enough. Since they are pretty much etched into staff's brain, they will still be enforced, you just won't have the posted rules as a reference. And while being written in English was never a rule, it might make a good one....
I agreed to the rules, but there were none, which I guess means chaos rules! :comeandgetsome:
I'm just kidding Bumper, please let me stay :ahhhhh:
Everything seems to be running good from what I've seen, although the new profiles are a bit different.
I like the way the thumbnails come up!!!
Good job Bumper! Other than the aforementioned, I haven't noticed any major changes. The mechanical upgrades don't diminish the quality of the Forum's content (or its members)!
