    Be careful out there...I had a 'tech' associate do a trace on that friend button and it appears to be a link connection somewhere in San Francisco...

    Never have used this feature!

    Well, after playing around with this feature a bit, I think it's just a way for members to keep a contact list of other members and be able to IM them quickly and easily. Like Bumper said, it's a "social networking" feature.

    BTW, I found out that my new "friend" (Cupcake) and I are both pilots, so I guess that it served its purpose, in a way.

    Yes, keep it simple. Don't implement these features except for a very good reason. Turning on these complex features may slow the board or cause other unexpected issues.
