this site spoiled me
I think this site has spoiled me, 5 days ago I received news that an LEO friend from high school had died in a motorcycle crash on duty. Finding a running thread on his death on glock talk I TRIED to sign up and post on it. 5 days later I still was unable to post the ONLY THING I WANTED TO.
Bumper, Mods, you all are awesome and expedient. When I joined the then CC.com I started posting in minutes not days and could access what any member was able to. Thank you.
RIP SGT Weigand

I, too, am sorry to hear about your friend and the problems you are having over at GlockTalk.
In fairness, though, as hard as I try to ensure a problem-free registration here, sometimes people do, indeed, have problems. I don't specifically remember anyone having to wait five days, but expect that it has been close to that. On any forum, there are certain functions that only a full administrator can resolve. And administrators are like everyone else when it comes to family emergencies, work related travels or expectations, vacations, etc. Even though we have three Assistant Administrators to help reduce these kinds of problems, there are a few that only I can resolve.

i don't have any problem posting on any gun forum, since i am a member of most of them already, but since i became a member of DC i rarely look at the other sites any more.
This place is the best. the administrator, mods and members make it so.

Very sorry about your friend and you have my condolences. Hang around and you will find some nice folks that usually don't take things too seriously.
