Just got done re-reading the rules. Bumper, Mod's and Admins, thanks again for keeping the site running so well, its always a nice place to be apart of.

I have noticed a rise lately in the use of offensive language on here, and it always bugs me a little bit. Not that my spoken language is clean by any means. But I feel that this is a professional, intelligent group of people, who can probably find other ways to express themselves without resorting to that language, and it makes the whole group look better without it IMO.

We've noticed the rise too and I'd just like to point out the following:

The forum rules. Before each of you joined, you agreed to abide by them, but we take them pretty seriously around here, which is one of the reasons that we remain many members' favorite firearms forum. We run a tight and civil ship, insisting on civility. If you quickly breezed through the rules during registration, you may want to take a minute now and read them a little more thoroughly. Doing so will help make the forum more enjoyable for you and prevent any problems later.

We have a number of staff on most times of the day, but we can't be everywhere at once and we have an growing number of threads and posts to keep up with, with limited staff. We try, but sometimes miss something that requires staff action. If you do encounter any rule violations, we encourage you to use the report post icon , please use this to also report duplicate threads, multiple threads on the exact same story and spam advertisements.

Done and I know this is going to sound weird but reading the rules again was a great change of pace from the last 2 weeks of working on next year's budget.

Remember that if you find politics, foul language, attacks on other members please click the little red and white triangle with the exclamation mark in it on each post and "report" it to us. When this is done it creates a thread in the staff area and alerts us that there is something that needs our attention. With as many posts as we get there are infractions that occasionally go unnoticed. A report is the quickest way to get a problem resolved and helps keep us true to the rules.....

Seriously, a big thank you to all the Admins, Mods, and other volunteers.
Being the admin/mod of a motorcycle club forum, I know it is not always easy.
You guys are doing a great job

I really like this idea of yearly rules refreshers. I wish more places did something like this.

This also makes for a good time to reread your state's CCW rules if you don't do it on a more regular basis.
