I am new (after a 3-4 year layoff) and have a need for a US map showing which states allow open carry and those which do not. Can someone steer me in that direction?

"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

Open Carry can mean different things in Different States!
For example, in Virginia it means you do not need a permit to OC. If you (resident or non-resident) can legally possess/own a firearm, you can OC it -- with some situs restrictions.
OTOH in our neighbor to the north, Maryland, it means IF you are rich enough and are connected enough to get one of their RARE permits to carry, at all, you may OC.
Also, with the exception of armored car drivers who posses valid permits from other States and who are On Duty in Maryland, they don't recognize permits from other States.
