I was in the courthouse area a couple of weeks ago and stopped by the local Wachovia bank to deposit some ,money. I've heard that Wachovia banks are all gun free zones so I left my Colt in the car with my wife. Upon entering, I looked for the half dollar no gun sign that is on the inner door of every other Wachovia I've been into, and lo and behold, there was "NO SIGN" does anyone know the Wachovia/Wells Fargo corporate policy?

wells fargo has to my knowledge always been ok to carry, and I know that many people have been anxiously waiting for wachovia to change their pocily since they were bought by wells fargo. I'll have to check my local wachovia to see if they still have the door posted.

From conversations with the Wachovia Corp Security veep(I forget the guys name) a good year or so ago there was NO corp issue with customers carrying inside the banks.

That's a good stance! There have been a couple bank robberies reported lately that have been thwarted by cc personnel present when they took place.

I just changed to Wachovia a couple weeks ago. As most of you know (I gotta say it) in Florida "signs carry no weight of the law". Phew, glad I got through that! Seriously though I don't look for them here. I did happen to notice the little bitty circle slash deal on the door one day. I had to point it out to the wife, almost by going right up to it and actually pointing. Ok folks nothing here to see move on.

I do not know in Virginia, but in South FL Wachovia banks are not gun free zones.
