...This is in the ungreat state of Michigan
Along the lines of the above,

I believe there are three university campuses in MI, that do not have the legal requirement to acknowledge the CC permit (even if OC), it has to be voted on by the trustees of each university. U of M and Wayne State ae two of them (I think), can't remember at all the third.

MI has an odd law (might be a decision based on the laws) I would never take a chance on. If you go to a school (say to pick up your child), if you have the CC permit, you can legally carry OC at the school.

Not sure if there might be some federal issues to be concerned about.

I screwed up. I voted no, but legally CC is not allowed in the state buildings such as the DMV. But the law says nothing about OC.

The question was not can you open carry at all.

    The question was/is:

Does your State have places where you must OC, not CC, if you are carrying?
    In other words:

Are there places in your State where you can OC but you can not CC.

No OC in OK. Unless you're on your own property. I believe it's OK in OK to do it then.

In Prescott, AZ, the Yavapai/Apache Indian Tribe does not recognize our CCW, but OC is allowed.

After 20 years of not knowing this, I finally called the tribal police department, and found the answer.

There are only two situations that I am aware of that you can legally OC in NY, while engaged in hunting with a pistol and while you're at the range. Everywhere else you have to CC.
