If the clown is carrying he sure is doing a good job of concealing. And if he is, I sure would not want to touch the gun after arresting him.

I was walking out of a Home Depot today with a 12' long conduit pipe (that's not the funny part).

There was a squad car parked on the curb near the door, which I must have walked with in 10 feet of. Well............ I guess they were bored cuz they followed me alllllll the way to my truck.

I swear, I felt like that 10 year old kid, with the rolling backpack, being followed home by the high-schoolers. They drove just behind me for a good 200 yards and parked in the space next to my truck til I finally pulled out to leave.

They never said anything... they never did anything. They just stalked me.

    How weird!?
At least this didn't end the way MWAG's often do. You hear about them every few months where a citizen with a lawful carry is made into a near criminal by a MWAG call and overzealous LEO's.

I'd rather have a LEO patiently observe me if someone called into dispatch because they "made" me. Though that still doesn't solve the problem of dispatch center not asking the right question during MWAG calls. i.e. What are they doing? Is the gun holstered? etc.

i skipped some of the middle of this but keep asking myself the same question...regarding the op...did the police actually do something wrong?...did they harass?...did they illegally search?...did they delay or detain?...

heck if they followed me to the car i'd turn and thank them for the escort and bid them a good day...maybe they wanted to make sure you werent one of the careless types that damage other peoples cars with what you were carrying...doesnt have to be a conspiracy...

Continuing this line of thinking a bit, could being followed by LE but not being detained, or even questioned be likened to the general public noticing an OC'r and feeling uncomfortable about it but don't call LE, or give the OC'r negative feedback? Not a perfect analogy, but both have desirable outcomes.

Besides, I've re-read the OP several times and unless it's been edited (which isn't indicated) he never indicated he was OC'ing.

As to having an LEO watching you remember Psalms 28:1, "The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."

I mentioned somewhere in the middle of this thread that they DID NOT harass me. I did not post this thread to discuss police harassment or conspiracy.... I simply thought it was a funny situation.

It may not have been your intention, but you stirred up the cop haters on the forum. Unfortunately, it isn't that hard to get them going.

I was parked near the end (an old habit for the sake of exercise that incidentally drives my Wife insane) and they crept around my car. I simply stopped, readied myself for the Q and A portion of my day, and took mental inventory of my weapons and their placement for disclosure (duty to disclose).

As I looked right at them, they just kept on going. I wrote it off as coincidence or that I had "passed the test" by not running away(?).

Weird thing to have happen, huh?

I wonder what would have happened if I had just started to do the "Robot" right then and there or something as equally bizarre but legal...

    Probably nothing good.

I think the ROBOT would have a great idea!! I'll need to remember that, I've been known to do something crazy like that out of the blue.

In the mean time, if you choose to exercise your right to OC where legal, great, more power to you. However, expect to be noticed, expect increased attention and scrutiny, because your going to get it. And don't complain about it, because you're inviting it.
Are you "that" person that tells a woman who was raped that she asked for/invited it by wearing a skirt?
How about the family of the cops that were killed a few months ago, I mean they know criminals hate cops so do you tell them "they asked for/invited it" also? (yes your comment is the same)

How about OC didn't start yesterday and is legal, so maybe the cops and society in general need to "get used to it".

If somebody is pursuing a legal activity, is harassed unlawfully for that activity and you blame them for their own harassment, that's EXACTLY like blaming a rape victim for "dressing immodestly".

Interracial dating is out of the ordinary in some places. Should a mixed couple be blamed for their own harassment? After all, they could simply date people of the same race and the problem would go away, right?

I don't OC, so I may not have a dog in this fight, but I gotta say this.

I understand how John Q. Public would get nervous, anxious, worried seeing a civilian on the street with a gun on his/her hip. What I don't get is the LEO concern.

When was the last time you heard of a BG with a gun carried openly in a proper holster? Probably not since the actual Wild West days?

The only common sense gun legislation was written about 224 years ago.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.
