What Happened? Nothing, really.
I can hardly call it an encounter, but...
A few weeks ago I found the passenger-side front window missing from my SUV. Called Atlanta PD. Less then ten minutes later, an officer responded to my home. Officer asked what happened. I recalled all that I knew. Officer asked for my DL. While waiting for a case number to come back from dispatch, we made small talk in the driveway. A few minutes later, I had a police report # for my insurance. Officer left after I told him to have a good weekend and to stay safe.
At no time what so ever did the law enforcer even blink at my weapon, much less run serials for ask for my Georgia Weapon License. I openly carried my Glock 40 + reload on my belt as I had been before the officer's arrival. Totally professional encounter and entirely a non-event. As it should be.
Mark another one up for the good guys.
