Need OC Info for a Doubter

Have acquaintance who is NOT up on 2A issues.

He doesn't get that OC is Legal in PA ( with restrictions of course )

Can anyone give me a LINK to a GOVT. website that discuses this issue??

I don't want to debate with him and he will "accept" something official.

There are links to the state statutes and other relevant pages at OCDO.

Click on your state when you get to this page. Should find your statutes there.

I would also remind him that laws tell people what they CANNOT do.....NOT what they are allowed to do. For example, there is no law allowing OC in Virginia...the law is silent; it only addresses concealed carry--thus, it is legal to OC WITHOUT a permit (because permits are only for concealed carry)

    It's CRAZY! It's like a right....or something.

The State does not make a list of things you may or can prohibits actions.

If your friend can't get over that mental hurdle, I recommend OCing with him...and let him watch people NOT notice. I did this with a friend from CT when he came to visit me in was an eye-opener.

Ask him to read Section 21 of the PA Constitution OUT LOUD to you and then ask him to tell you what portions of that one sentence he does not understand.
Section 21 is why any PA resident that is just legally carrying a firearm and having not committed any crime will always win on constitutional grounds if any PA judge or magistrate has sworn a solemn oath to uphold, defend, & abide by the Pennsylvania Constitution.

The Constitution Of The State/Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania

    The Original 1776 Version

XIII. That the people have a right to bear arms for the defence of themselves and the state; and as standing armies in the time of peace are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; And that the military should be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

Later Changed To & as it reads now:

Section 21 . Right to Bear Arms

The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.

Maybe that wording should be adopted nationwide! Plain and simple.
