Glad to join a great forum of people who support the 2nd amendment!
Without revealing too much about myself; I'm in college and have just started writing my final essay for my advanced English class. I decided to write it on Open Carry and San Diego.
After doing hour of reading and searching, I've decided that the best way to start off is by participating in my own open carry experience.
However, I am at a loss at where or who to contact for this. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I live in San Diego, California, and have heard of some small events and groups of open carriers. I havenít been able to locate any information about who to contact or how to participate unfortunately.
Thanks for help and God bless.

Welcome from Michigan!
California is a tough nut to crack. Good luck with it.

I believe the BEST place for you to start is here~~~> http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/fo...?88-California
Being "Opencarry.org" they tend to be much more understanding and open minded when it comes to exercising certain rights, Defensive Carry, not so much.

Since you're a college student, you want to check out this organization at this site:

As well as OCDO you might want to check here. My recommendation is DO NOT OC in Cali until you are absolutely sure of what you are doing. This may effect your paper. But OC'ing without knowing the law may effect much more than your college paper. They aint's so friendly about guns on the left coast. Good luck.
