I heard on here awhile back that the Legislature here was debating a bill that would have legalized Open Carry, carry on College campuses, and a few other things. Did it pass?

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.
Um, maybe someone can put in laymans terms how this bill (if passed) will affect CCW on school campus?
Currently work in education (public school) and wanted clarification!

As I understand it, and IANAL so I could be totally wrong about this, public schools would still be off limits but private schools would be able to decide whether they wanted to allow it or not. You would be able to leave a gun in a car at either a private or public school though. As I said, that's my interpretation.
"limiting a prohibition on carrying a concealed weapon or firearm
into an elementary or secondary school facility,
career center, or college or university facility to
include only a public elementary or secondary school
facility or administration building"
So that means ccw at universities. I'm not sure about high schools...are those considered secondary schools?

Keep in mind that Federal laws still apply for public schools. The bill is currently mired in the usual legislative maze.

IANAL, but the Federal law defers to state law regarding school zones, if the person in question is a licensed permit holder.
