I do not (and have not) regularly carried open, nor did I do so just to see what it was like. Often when hiking around the mountains here on hot days, I will carry a .357 Ruger SP101 in the rear pocket of my bib overalls. The revolver is large enough that the grip protrudes well from the pocket, and in New Mexico, that is considered open carry
I open carry about 50% of the time. Sometimes just to lazy to put on the holster. Was questioned at the horse races by a sec guard then let thru by head of sec. Open carry to the Western Idaho Fair, Security at the gate checking bags and purses looks at me, then down to my 1911 on my hip, looks back up at me and says..."Gun in holster, ok."
Gotta love Idaho!
I live in Minneapolis and OC 95% of the time.
Carry 100% of the time if legal & probably 90% of that is OC in last 3 years. Only 1 issue in 3 years. Simple discussion & no problem there since. This is mostly to local pioneers that have done significant education.
I have and will but it is only for a quick trip to the local supermarket when I am too lazy to put on my concealed holster. For longer trips I always conceal.
OC at the range, or if in a war zone, but otherwise feel as do many others, it's better to keep it hidden from view in public.
Carry concealed or not at all. No One wants to see some screwball with a gun on their hip in public around kids, etc. This ain't the Wild Wild West anymore.
I hate seeing some weirdo openly carrying a pistol in public.
I keep mine out of sight and so should you.
To each his own.

Excercise "your rights" with some regard for others.
Carry CONCEALED, don't be a douche.
BTW, were any of the parents freaking out and dragging their little ones off the golf course, or calling the police to report a man with a gun? Or were you the only one getting bent out of shape at the sight of a gun?
If you DO liv in some utopia, why are you carrying at all?
