    Frome the article:
"Ector says gun owners must be at least 18 years old, registered to carry the weapon" etc etc.

    Has the federal law changed?
To purchase a handgun one must be 21 years of age, right?

The person organizing this better brush up on the law or there will be a lot of people getting arrested..

How old do you have to be in order to legally own a pistol in Michigan?

MCL 28.422 Eighteen (18) years of age. However, Federal law prohibits a federally licensed firearms dealer from selling a pistol to anyone under the age of twenty-one (21).

The federal law is pretty useless as one over the age of 21 could buy a gun from the FFL then give it to a person at is 18 or older.....

Belle Isle really isn't that bad during the daylight hours... Now after dark I wouldn't cross that bridge without full tactical gear, my AR and an APC...
