Ok i recently picked up a gun from my ffl dealer, and he has me drive onto his property because it would be possessing a firearm with in 1000'. He has a ccp, and he says he cant open carry off his property. Hope that helps.....

The law states in no uncertain terms that no firearm can be within 1,000 feet of any school building. Cased, un-cased, or in any other state. Unless it is on YOUR property. That right is guaranteed by the state constitutional amendment that gives all Wisconsin residents the right to possess firearms.
Driving off of any property within 1,000 feet of a school means you are violating the law. Period, end of story. Two people have had their weapons taken for violating the GFSZ law and are suing the state over it now.
With a CC permit, you are no longer affected by the GFSZ law.
