    Some people do notice

This week I was having lunch at a Village Inn on the outskirts of Denver. I was getting very warm so I took off my fleece, exposing my 1911. After awhile I got up to use the rest room. When I walked into the room there was an older gentleman standing by the sink. I noticed his eyes got real big. I thought here we go, I am going to have an incident. He asked me "Is that a real gun?". I replied that yes it was. He then said " It looks like the trigger is cocked.". I replied that is the way it is supposed to be carried. As I was getting ready to leave he said " How about putting a few round through the stall door!" Apparently he had been waiting for quite while to use the stall. That statement left me speechless. One never knows whenOCing!

Yeah, you put several through the stall door and he'd turn on you like you were crazy or something!

At least he had a sense of humor and you didn't give him the 'yes it is a real gun and it is my right to carry it' speech.
    Disclaimer:
My opinion shouldn't be taken seriously due to the fact that I've been shooting guns for over 30 years and have only recently been active on gun forums, where all the real world knowledge apparently is.

I'd have told him it was a VERY realistic squirt gun that you use to water the houseplants with when you get bored, and you must have accidently left it on your hip when you left the house.
If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.

Yep, some people do notice. but the number of those who do compared to the number of those who do not is amazingly low.

It's not a real gun, but it plays one on TV.

Thread winner, right there. I've had a couple of people do that to me in public, joking around. Of course, I get the "is that a real gun" question a bit. I don't get that one. Why would a grown man carry a toy gun around, in a leather holster?

    "Is that a real gun?"

"No, it's just a replica, real guns are too dangerous."

"Is that a real gun?" My answer: "No, you are hallucinating it."

    "Is that a real gun?"

    "GUN??!! WHERE???!"
"Rock and load, lock and roll... what's it matter? FIRE!!"

"Gun control means hitting your target every time."

Please take everything I say with at least one grain of salt- I am a very sarcastic person with a very dry sense of humor.
