I have dabbled back and forth between OC and CC. Comfort seems to often play a role in my decision, among other things. What is your favorite way or holster to open carry? Leather? Kydex? Thigh rig? Thoughts?

Family first, that's why I carry.
I don't open carry very often, but when I do, it is with a 700 Remington XCR in a .308 with a Leupold Mark II 6-18.

I OC cross draw in either leather holster or UM retention holster. I find cross draw more comfortable while sitting in the drivers seat. Also makes my reaching into right front pocket for cash less stressful for those seeing the handgun.
Serpa Blackhawk retention holster at 4 with a Colt 1911.
Kahr PM9 or Ruger LCR in Don Hume J.I.T. slide at 2:30.

XD45 Compact in a Blackhawk SERPA paddle holster at 3:00.
Glock 23 in a Blackhawk SERPA at about 3:30 or so. Not a thigh rig. I think civilians who carry in thigh rigs just make it obvious they are carrying to try to be a bad*** and look like fools. Just my opinion but I don't see the thigh rigs being at all practical for civilian carry.

Usually, I carry an old Colt Navy blackpowder in my hand. That, or a pink Draco with the tip painted orange.
Kimber TLE II, Serpa at 8:30 ish.
I agree.
They do make sitting and driving much easier, and the fact the weight is transferred off the hip is another plus; however, I still agree with the first part.Just my opinion but I don't see the thigh rigs being at all practical for civilian carry.

I want to try to OC a few times. it will be in a belt holster at 4 or 5 o'clock. Only problem is now i'll have to get a low key holster. After ordering my CH and looking at it again it's not one for OC, it just screams look at me. Live and learn.
