    I thought there was a boycott going on about their support of gay marriage. So those numbers could be reflecting a much bigger picture than just the gun boycott.

    Then both boycotts are failing. Here is the short summary:

    Comparing same store sales to the same time period as last year-
    The increase was primarily due to an 8% increase in comparable store sales, including a 7% increase in the number of transactions and a 1% increase in average ticket.

    So more people are buying more stuff.
