Open Carry in PA State Parks?

Open Carry used to be illegal in state parks, but after the passage of PA's Castle Doctrine bill, there was supposed to be language in the bill that made it legal. Does anyone know definitively whether or not it is now legal?

I want to say yes. But I can't say with 100% certainty.

Concealed carry is allowed, but the DCNR does not allow open carry, except for in hunting areas, but, that was supposed to have changed after HB 40, castle doctrine, was passed (due to some extra amendments tacked onto it).

    Yeah that would be:

PA 18 ss6109(m.3) Construction.--Nothing in this section shall be construed to :

    (1) Permit the hunting or harvesting of any wildlife with a firearm or ammunition not otherwise permitted by 34Pa.C.S. (relating to game).

    (2) Authorize any Commonwealth agency to regulate the possession of firearms in any manner inconsistent with the provisions of this title.
The trick is getting the DNR to abide by the law and give up their rule.

Well, I guess I'm willing to be a test case. I visit Gouldsboro State Park, Tobyhanna State Park, and Promised Land State Park pretty regularly during the summer, for hiking, fishing, and so on. I don't know anyone else willing to do it, so I guess I'll give it a shot.

Well, I'll donate to your legal fees if you need it (seriously), but I doubt you will.
