When I saw that last night I was surprised they actually filmed that segment without staying in close all the time. I also noticed he was not carrying during the parade though. Wonder if that was his choice, AI or the LEOs asking.
After he sang his song and the judges commented, Ryan told them they might want to be careful because he saw Phil's dad "packing heat" in the recorded segment. It got a good laugh.
They have a pawn shop. Bad guys know there is generally a lot of cash on hand at a pawn shop.
I thought I was the only one that noticed that! I don't watch the show but I came upstairs after the Celtics game and the wife had it on.
Based on singing voice he should have "gone home" months ago. :-)
Actually, in the video it appeared an almost non-event. Exactly as it should've been.
Phillip's dad comes across as being a very nice guy as well. The little glimpse America got of his sidearm last night probably helped the open carry cause 100 times more than the cop baiters with the video cameras out there on the streets. As for Phillip, his music and his easy style are quite appealing. He should win the contest.Quote:
