First encounter with LE while CC/OC

    LEO pumping gas says,

"you got a permit for that?

    (Me) Yes Sir.

You need to cover it a little better.

(Me) Yeah but OC is legal in Kentucky.

    It is?

    (Me) Shaking my head.

OC laws -- in any state as far as I can tell -- are some of the murkiest and least understood of all. For instance, in NC it's technically legal, except where prohibited by law, ordinance, or a business/property owner posting a sign at all public entrances. But if anyone complains to LE, you can be asked to put it away, which if you don't have a CCP means in your vehicle or whatever. And our cops here don't know the OC laws any better than that one in KY. Better safe than sorry -- tuck it tight.

In states were CC/OC is allowed by law I think LEO's need to be re-schooled on the laws in which they seem to know so little about.

    Which department? Just curious.

There's nothing that will change someone's moral outlook quicker than cash in large sums.

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.

In NC there is no law that says it is legal to OC there just isn't a law against it so by default not illegal. I dont know about Kentucky.

See, that's what I mean about how murky it is. Maybe if they'd put something in writing the LEO's wouldn't come across so ignorant about it.

Absolutely, 16 rounds Speer Gold Dot 124 GR JHP. I had an OTWB Galco Paddle Holster. My Galco ITWB Royal Guard will be here Friday. Carrying first gen Glock 19. I'm leaving the P238 home due to a higher level of threat in my area.

    How is that "murky"?

There is no law against me eating pizza on my front porch. Is there any confusion on the legality of pizza consumption outside my domicile? No? The same goes with OC.
