I believe the law says persons under 21 are prohibited from buying handguns from a FFL. I don't have a cite for this, but IIRC, federal law states that a person only needs to be 18 to receive a handgun as a gift or to purchase a handgun from a non-licensed individual provided the gifter/seller resides in the same state. I haven't looked into PA laws regarding purchasing handguns, so PA may take a stricter stance than is put forth by federal law. Anyway, it seems to be a moot point though because, correct me if I'm wrong, now the license to carry is just that and not gun-specific.Quote:

Open carry in PA, as I understand it is in a holster, exposed at all times. You can OC with an IWB holster in PA, but that is asking for trouble, in my opinion. I would stick with an OWB holster. Just make sure that if you are wearing a coat, that it does not cover ANY potion of your gun EVER, unless you are on your own property....
You might want to look into getting a non-resident Maine permit. As I understand it, you can get it at 18, and can legally carry concealed in PA at 18. However, I am not a lawyer, so you will definitely want to do more research on that one.
