This. Most advocates of open carry probably aren't looking to actually open carry. But freedom from the requirement to stay concealed would be nice.
Then again, dual pearl-handled Colts strapped to my thighs might make me look cool... :)
Jeff (Who likely wouldn't look cool even if here were an ice cube...)
I don't open carry much either since I got my permit to carry concealed. But I am very happy to see so many defending the right despite their not exercising it themselves.
I"m in FL and we can't open carry. I got a great OWB holster with the PPQ I got for Christmas. I OC around the house, but have to CC out in public. I CC with an IWB holster and when I OC around the house, I have to readjust my belt because it feels like my pants want to drop with the OWB holster.
I wish we would make OC legal here.
For it? yes and it's legal in my state, but I don't choose it for myself.
I think I read somewhere that Fla is going to try and re-introduce the idea of open carry in 2013 but I cannot remember where I read it.
I thought of doing exactly that, F350. I'm already retired but I sure could stand to live more comfortably, lol.
That was concealed carry, doesn't really prove the point.
I'm for choice like we have in Tennessee--the law doesn't specify how you carry. It's even called a Handgun Carry Permit. Me personally, no. I don't wish to call any atttention to myself.
