The #1 tactical mistake is putting yourself in a situation that requires you to use your weapon...

...but if the situation indeed presents itself,

This. Most advocates of open carry probably aren't looking to actually open carry. But freedom from the requirement to stay concealed would be nice.

Then again, dual pearl-handled Colts strapped to my thighs might make me look cool... :)

You seem to have heard about different felons than we have around here. Thinking itself often doesn't enter into their process, let alone rational thinking.

I don't open carry much either since I got my permit to carry concealed. But I am very happy to see so many defending the right despite their not exercising it themselves.

I"m in FL and we can't open carry. I got a great OWB holster with the PPQ I got for Christmas. I OC around the house, but have to CC out in public. I CC with an IWB holster and when I OC around the house, I have to readjust my belt because it feels like my pants want to drop with the OWB holster.

I think I read somewhere that Fla is going to try and re-introduce the idea of open carry in 2013 but I cannot remember where I read it.

    I would.....
    1} Buy a Hi-Point
2} Get a lawyer on retainer
3} Open Carry past the police headquarters
    4} Plan my retirement

I may be dum but I ain't stoopid and I ain't gonna let no SOB intimidate me into surrendering a lawful right.

I thought of doing exactly that, F350. I'm already retired but I sure could stand to live more comfortably, lol.

That was concealed carry, doesn't really prove the point.

I'm for choice like we have in Tennessee--the law doesn't specify how you carry. It's even called a Handgun Carry Permit. Me personally, no. I don't wish to call any atttention to myself.
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd taken better care of myself when I was youner

POINT IS: Happens to CC'ers too. Rebuttal to the Quote shown in my post.
