So they are going to protest a lawful activity by violating the law? Makes perfect sense.

So they're gonna risk spreading Salmonella at the farmers market when nothing bad happened with the OC'ers. Just goes to show how irrational and irresponsible these people are.

I am all for open carry. I am all for concealed carry. I am all for 2nd Amendment Rights. I am all for people owning AR type rifles.

I disagree with people walking around with an AR rifle just to show off. They bring a lot of unwanted and unwarranted attention to the rifle and just create more strife.

They need a law that allows open carry to be lmited to guns made to be used with one hand, ie; pistols, revolvers.

Carry the AR was not a crime you may not like it but no crime
This group plans to break a known law for no reason other than to draw attention to their point.
In Wisconsin socialist/liberals can break just about any law and no be ticketed or arrested.
Just the way it is here LE is on their side.

Thing is, long guns can be OCed in lots of places where handguns (for some reason) cannot. Also, I hope it's a hen. Roosters can be pretty dangerous. I sometimes make sure I'm carrying before dealing with our roosters, especially the previous one who died for his transgressions (via axe, not bullet).

There should definitely be a law against open carrying a rooster in public.

This issue needs all the positive attention we can muster, it’s the perfect venue for it,” Scheffler said. [b]“It’s a public safety issue, there’s no greater threat than loaded assault weapons. And chickens are family-friendly.”
Such nonsense. My loaded AR-15 hasn't harmed a soul and it's been quite friendly towards family.

OK, let me ask you this. Do you feel that the attention one gets while carrying a AR from non gun people help the pro gun side? The AR style market is already under the microscope and is being given a bad rap as it is. What good comes from openly carrying an AR around a public venue?

Maybe you know a discreet way of carrying one but I do not. We had a guy in an area here you know well carrying one every day walking up and down Jewella. He did not get enough publicity so he started aiming it at various "objects" as he called it. He was arrested and I had to try to prepare a defense for his attorney to put on. There was none and now he can no longer own a weapon. In some areas, just walking around in a populated arers is enough to be called "brandishing." The actions of the guys in WI will likely cause their State Legislature to repeal OC for everyone.

People will have more of a reaction to an AR being carried than a handgun.

There's a difference btwn carrying a slung rifle or holstered handgun and walking around pointing any firearm at anything - which would be brandishing.

Please apply this anti OC logic to any other civil rights movement- with that logic, people shouldn't say anything controversial because it might hurt free speech? That isn't okay.
