    Thoughts/Opinions about open carry

What are your thoughts on what this guy is doing? I personally think he's just crying out for attention and makes himself an easy target. The Handgun no problem, but open carrying the rifle i think is just a little to much . Anyways I'll stick with CCW.

I'd hardly call a guy with a visible sidearm and an AR-15 slung an "easy target". I guess some criminals might be insane enough to try something with him around.

As for crying for attention... Entirely possible. I'd probably ask him about both guns. What make, model, etc...

I prefer CC. Why draw attention to yourself, He has a problem see his "Buckle" Jeans. scream look at me

Look at me I have an evil black rifle.

I don't know the story and admit I will feel like a fool when I find out the real reason. BUT Looks to me that mommy and daddy did not give him enough attention.

I would sling the rifle the other way and use a standard 2-point sling, not a 3-point 'tactical' sling. IMO the rifle takes to long to get to the low-ready from where he has it. It also looks like he needs a better belt.

Loop sling, strong side; handgun weak side cross draw. If not limited to normal clothing, handgun would be in a drop holster on the strong side, about mid thigh. Otherwise, sure, why not?

I have no issues with OC of a handgun. I think that OC of "evil black rifles" doesn't help our cause at all and gets many to rally against our cause.

I am not a fan of OCing to make a point (which, from my limited knowledge based on this picture, this guy is doing). I would rather CC than OC, but I think OCing to make a point is counterproductive.

If I remember this specific incident correctly, it was in Utah, he was at a big box store, and called the police ahead of time to let them know he would be doing it, so they wouldn't freak out if they got any MWAG calls.

I don't see a problem with it, but the shoppers there may have.

I guess he's entitled to do whatever he wants but I equate his choice to dressing up in a 3 piece suit just to go to White Castle.

It could be any number of reasons, really . Keeping his AR out of harm's way. Buying something. Showing off. Who knows?
