    Spoof on Open Carry

Came across this video & found the intro very funny I did not watch the whole video, but I thought the spoof on recent incidents re: open carry advocates showing up at places like Jack In The Box w/ ARs to be spot-on. Personally, I think the in-your-face AR toting individuals look ridiculous & do not serve the cause well. Each to their own.

OC and CC issues aside, vetting your SD/HD ammo in a particular gun is quite important.

I watched the whole thing, and I liked it. Jerry has some great points on postures while OC'ing that effects public perception. I've subbed to his channel for about 6 months and like his perception on gun ownership and the content.

Watched the video. Jerry has some very good points on BOTH options of carry. Ultimatly, it's our own RESPONSIBILITY to consider which mode of carry we're going to perform.
Take a sec, and notice he size of the holster he's using while pocket carrying. I ALWAYS advise my customers to buy a slightly LARGER holster( IWB or Pocket carry) to the gun sits deeper in the holster and a bit loose, in order to get it into play a bit faster. Nothing worse than drawing your gun, and having it's holster covering the gun, coming out at the same time.

Personally, I prefer his initial OC setup (first few seconds of video).
Good info, and I liked that he was real. He was not doing sub-second draws

A lot of good points made in the vid, regarding discretion, retention, ...

I have yet to meet a person whose mode of carry was changed by debate. It's personal preference... always has been , and always will be.

I've been behind OC's in the check out line at (name the store). I always think just how easy it would be to grab it from behind. Personally, I don't want anyone to know I'm carrying. OC laws are good just in case I accidentally expose. I don't want to be harassed by a cop who had a bad day because the tip of my EDC showed. I carry OWB because to me, IWB is uncomfortable.

Remember within the gun culture Jerry has an public image he has to look after.

Just as much training needs to go into open carry retention as should go into pocket carry.

He presents the info on a pretty even and honest keel.

He doesn't really bag on open carry ,he re-enforces training no matter what you carry choice
