Question Truism Posted Last Day or Two and a Mod Losing His Mind

I've lost my mind (as many of you know.)

Within the last day or two someone posted a truism to use "against" Anti-2A folks. I had not heard it before, I thought it was clever. I forgot who it was, what thread it was in, and everything else. Whoever posted it was rightfully pleased with themself too.

Can someone help a feeble old moderator out with his memory, or lack thereof?

What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."

think I remember what you're talking about, but damned if I can remember where it was - in a 1/2 page post I think. Anyway, here's a bump for you to get more exposure.

I suggest a thread retitling: Gettin' old ain't for sissies, courtesy of R&G.

Can't say I recall what the thread was. It was in the 2A forum, I suppose. Could always do a search of threads within the past week. Unless it was in the Off-Topic forum, you ought to find it. Presuming it used words like 2A, Amendment, RKBA or something a search could find.

Hm. Bit, fat help that was. Sorry.

Rock and Glock, there are only ~25 threads in the past 4 days in the 2A/RBKA forum. Might it have been in there? Could be found easily, if so.

Of course, if it was uttered over in the Off-Topic area, you're going to be rooting around for awhile.

It's at the top of the second page of this thread: Did banning machine guns stop machine gun crime?

I thought it was a rather clever argument to point out the lunacy of thinking that going after guns will reduce "gun crime".

If that's not it, did you try combing through the likes you have given? Of course, that's assuming that you "liked" the post you're seeking.
