OC in Jersey ?
so i did a search and didnt find anything. i was wondering if anyone could give me a quick run down of carrying in NJ.
I am 19 and live in PA, but my family has a cabin in north jersey that i might be buying for a weekend place. i know in PA you have to OC till your 21 then get your ccw permit. how does it go in jersey ? i will have my shotgun for while im in the house, but what about a pistol for carrying?
its in vernon, NJ. its not a city, just a small trailer park in the woods. im sure i could carry and no one say a word, i just want to know where the law says i stand.
Thanks a lot

Do not Carry a Pistol or any gun into New Jersey unless you want to become a Convicted Felon.
You must have a permit to even own a pistol or any gun in New Jersey, simply bringing your gun into New Jersey is a felony.

Yes, NJ and NYC aren't exactly the shining beacons of 2AD freedom; and unfortunately the majority of their denizens aren't exactly fighting to regain that freedom.
God bless the few that are......

Also no JHP ammo either!

Leo are covered under HR218 aka LEOSA . Leo can carry in all 50 states.

Before LEOSA it was true that out-of-state LEOs living in NJ couldn't legally carry, even to and from work.
JHP ammo is prohibited for use outside one's residence. Using JHP ammo in self-defense on your own premises is legal.

Not sure if NJ even issues a non resident permit. If they don't trust their own slaves...I mean subjects....I mean citizens enough to have one, why would they trust someone from out of their own little kingdom?

....NJ does not have any non-resident permits. The residents have enough problems getting carry permits themselves.

well, I OC in NJ, but I work as a LEO in NJ so that doesnt really count. For non-LEO'S, I agree that it's not likely that a civilian could OC in NJ. Off-duty, I carry concealed.

DON'T GO!!!!!
I left Jersey 22 years ago and never looked back!
I wouldn't care if I was offered $1,000,000.00 I'd still never go back.
