    Great day of OCing!

I've been open carrying for about a week now. I don't yet have my CC permit and I'm not prepared to just disarm myself. The journey started to Target to get a dresser for the baby room my wife and I put together. I even approached an employee to ask if they had an item in stock that was the one we wanted, but the only one on the shelf was damaged. Security and one of the managers seemed to notice and I think they either liked guns or just didn't care. Same thing at the other Target we headed to in order to pick up the product we wanted. Very unevenful.

Then it was off to Fazoli's for a quick bite to eat. This is where it starts getting interesting. I go to order my fettuccine and before I can even open my mouth, the employee behind the counter asked me a question I thought I'd never hear. "Are you a bounty hunter?" I was prepared for "Are you a cop?" or other various gun carrying professions, but not a bounty hunter. I explained that I was just a law abiding citizen exercising my 2nd amendment rights and he was not aware that OC was legal. Later when I went to pick up my food from the counter, I talked with him a bit longer and another employee. The other employee asked, "Is that a Glock?" after I answered him yes, he said "Glocks are scary!" I think both were more in awe because they loved guns, but it seemed to be a mostly positive educational experience. It made for an interesting story at least!

Good job. Open carry is a great thing as it educates the Sheeple nearly every time it is practiced.

The more of us that there are out there open carrying, the better off everyone who carries a gun, either openly or concealed, is. The more the Sheeple realize that guns being carried by law abiding citizens is a good thing or a non-issue, the better off we all are.

The only thing I got negative was an older couple eating at Fazoli's. I got the dirtiest look I've ever seen. I think when I get my permit, I'll probably stick to open carry most of the time. When I see people that freak out, I just know they don't get it.

Did you give them a big, toothy grin?

Sounds like an overall good experience.

The Fat-zolis near my house is posted. Probably better for my waistline to avoid them anyway. Used to go there all the time before they were posted.

I guess you could say that. I did give a smile, but I should have thrown a wink in there!

I've been looking for those signs just so I don't get myself in hot water, but I haven't seen one here yet. I did see them in Phoenix when I lived there, but that's when I was still a .

Excellent Story and I hope you have many more. They are not all that great. The more you OC the more people will see it and the less fearful they will be. But just remember if you OC you have a two fold job.

    2. To educate the sheeple you encounter.

You should have answered, "Why yes, it is a Glock, because today is supposed to be Glock Discount Day at Fazoli's, right?"

Glad you had an uneventful day.

I went to the Target off of Sunset by Sunset Station and the other one was off of Eastern. I don't remember the other cross street, but it was in Henderson as well and the Fazoli's was off that parking lot as well.

The guy that said Glocks are scary really looked freaked out when I said it was a 357 SIG. I guess it's an infamous round to some!
