Here's a quick link that should answer most of your questions.

Don't go ask the manager, cause you won't like the answer that you will likely get. Study the laws and follow the laws. Don't attract unnecessary attention by asking. Z

What part of Northern CO? I generally stay out of here, not being a fan of OC, but (unless things have changed dramatically since I left in '91) there are too many California transplants in CO to make OC less trouble than a good cover garment.
Similar to the TX 30-06 law, I would suspect that movie theaters, concert venues, etc. are off limits as "public gathering places". Autoparts stores, 7/11s, etc. are off limits if posted.

You should be good to go in most places, as long as they are NOT in Denver.

Hello from another Northern CO resident. I have OC'd in many places and have had no problems to report. I just recently recieved my CCW permit too so I will OC less but sometimes its a viable option. As others have stated and linked to the standard list of fedral facilities, schools, National Parks, and the post office are the basic no carry places. Otherwise most everywhere else is legal, now if a private business doesn't want you to carry they can ask you to leave and if you don't comply then you are trespassing.
