OC in MS, question
So I am doing my best to understand state and federal laws, and as it appears, the Justice in MS have gone to great length to make it difficult to carry a pistol without a CC by labeling pistols in holsters as partially concealed. Interestingly enough, while making it hard to exercise my right to OC a pistol, the law seems to free me to walk around with my semi auto AK47 slung across my back (being that it is 16.3 inches, .3 over the state law limit for rifles they deem concealable). So, am I wrong in thinking that it is perfectly legal for me to, without any permission other than my citizen rights, strap my ak47 on my back and go about my daily tasks enjoying my OC rights? Or am I missing something making this terribly illegal in Mississippi?

Go to opencarry.org and check the data they have for Mississippi. Under Ms. law a holstered handgun is "partially concealed".
