OC log for today (First time back at Lowe's)

Nothing exciting, but today was the first time I headed back to Lowe's since the incident on July 4th.

My wife and I went to Target, and had a prescription filled. The GM walked by once, looked right at me, then my 1911 and continued on. He did this three times and didn't say a word. We continued our shopping, picked up our meds and left. No one cared.

We went to Giant Food in Chambersburg. We filled up our cart with groceries. No one bugged me, I did get a few head turns. The cashier noticed, but didn't say anything. Unlike my previous experience at Giant where a few kids (Cashier and bagger) thought it was cool and wanted to "do that". I gave em a flyer, told them the laws in PA, we had a chat then I left. No such luck today.

We dropped the groceries off at home then I headed over to Lowe's. No one bugged me this time, as a matter of fact some of the employees seemed a little overly helpful. I'm glad to see their policy is clarified. No one mentioned the 1911. I think the employee that talked to me last time was there this time... he followed me with his eyes, but didn't engage me. I'm pretty sure it was him.

On the way home I stopped at Sheetz to get gas. A couple Canadian's pulled up in the spot behind me. They noticed, nodded and filled up... man there are a lot of Canadians invading this summer...

    Strange....

    I'll bet it was GunnyBunny!

Glad to hear it was just another normal OC day for ya. And that Lowe's has their nose back in joint again.

A nice, uneventful day, just like it's supposed to be...

Good to hear that Lowe's has clarified their policy for their employees.

Good to see you had a productive and uneventful OC day!

Just curious, what do you do when you go out t o eat at a restaurant that sells alcohol? Do you leave yourself defenseless and stow your gun in your car? That is about the only time I OC, do the VA tuck and go in. If I have to stop somewhere on the way home from work I sometimes just slide my holstered gun IWB, leaving it exposed and go about my business. You'd be surprised how few people even notice. Even in the Richmond area.

Like the line from the old Alka-Seltzer TV ads....

    Try it....You'll like it

I open carried all last summer, had always been “cautious” about even a momentary flash, it was sort of like skinny dipping for the first time when I was younger

Good to hear it was uneventful, and even better to hear that previous bad experiences didnt deter you from continuing to exercise your right

I've OC'd in Lowe's many times here and have never had a problem.

Nobody's even turned a head that I noticed; same deal for Ace Hardware, Sutherlands, and Home Depot.

I'm glad things are good in your area, too!

The dollar ain't worth crap right now. When ever the dollar is weak the Canadians head south. I used to live in Plattsburgh NY (near Montreal), we used to get overrun in the summer when the Canadians got a good exchange rate.
