    Gotta LOVE Target!

Went to T-town today to pick up some back-to-school stuff and DVDs. It's not the Wally World Walk, but I was OCing. First thing I notice as I walk in w/ Mr. Bunny and Bunny Jr., is the security guard is watching us, and walks by 2 or 3 times as we walk in and stop to look at the displays in front.

Finally comes to us with a big grin and asks "Do you two Open Carry often?" LOVE IT! He's a big fan of Glock (how could you not be) and we talked shop for a bit until Mr. Bunny's eyes rolled back in his head, poor thing. Then the Security Guard said "Well, don't worry. If anyone hassles you, it'll be ME they call, and I'll tell them you're ok." What a nice guy! :)

Sure enough, someone got weird and the manager called him about some lady walking around with a gun. (Yes, because despite the fact that I'm in there with my husband and 10-year old kid, wearing neat clothing and not homeless-people rags or gangbanger couture, despite the fact that the gun is clearly safely holstered to my hip and not just shoved in my pants, despite the fact that I'm shopping, talking with salespeople, making eye contact, acting normal, and never once touched my gun, it's clearly evil and ready to go on some killing spree, right?)

Anyhow, he tells the manager yep, he knows about me. No, I'm not LEO and yes, I'm cool, no worries. She just shrugs and goes "Oh. Alright then" and back to business.

He caught up with us again in Electronics/DVDs to tell us about a local event tomorrow night for LEO appreciation and how it's great to OC there, it's right in our town. Also, he's a member of opencarry.org and saw my Best Buy post! And I gave him our website, he wants to get his mother to take a class!

Cool, huh? You just gotta love a Target with an employee like that!

Encouraging,....as I am having Pure Kustom make me a holster w/ a set of prayin' hands on the side for the DW CBOB. It'll be interesting to see If I get more comments on the gun(cocked and locked) or the holster and the prayin' hands.

Never wear a red shirt to Target, or in this case, maybe you should.

Can't remember the last time I was in a Target; started not going when they stopped carrying guns/hunting supplies probably 20 years ago.

Does Bunny Jr carry a holstered Airsoft gun? That would make a nice family portrait.

I see your point. I'm a fan of both. Ok, I just like all the guns I've seen/shot pretty much so far ;)

Yes, around the house, actually! (He wants to be like Mom, how cute is that?) He carries a holstered .22 at the range. Says he can't wait to be 21 so he can OC here...but he's got about 10 1/2 years to go...lol

No, never! I won't be able to go to the event at Birkdale tomorrow -- too bad, the SWAT team is landing a helicopter right there, and will have all of their "toys" on display, I would love to see that! I have to go to the FOP meeting tomorrow to secure the dates for our upcoming classes with the VP there. Look for us, we'll be there come heck or high water! :)
