Tis the Season - For Open Carry

I saw some 'Rudolf' previews and happened to notice that Yukon Cornelius was open-carrying during the entire movie.

Not even Santa objected ... though maybe he found a holster in his stocking on Christmas morn' as I understand Santa has mixed feelings about Mexican Carry.

Not only that but he has a fine array of tools in the use of force continuum, at least for the time the movie was made. Surprised no one has airbrushed those horrible things away.

I too am surprised that in this age of whimpification (my own term and I claim coinage of it) that the gun has not been digitally removed as they were in E.T.

I'm glad my kids can watch this classic with the gun still in place as it should be.

I just remembered when they did that. I also remember them getting panned for it as well.

If the sheep have their way Yukon Cornelius will be sitting down with the Abominable Snowman for a series of civil discussions aimed at improving human-monster relations. Make sure you TiVo the original version this year!

In fact... I argue for the following:

    So much for Red Dawn...
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws... serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man - Cesare Beccaria
