I don't think a person should have to have a permit, period. Here in Montana we can OC without a permit but a permit is needed to CC within the city limits. I hate it. I don't know when I go from exercising a right when I OC to needing to ask permission when I throw on a coat or a long shirt that covers it or anything that hides my pistol from view.
The Second Amendment states: "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." The necessity of a permit is infringing on my right to bear arms. When did the Constitution and the Bill of rights become a suggestion?! It's like the Ten Commandments, they're not multiple choice so why then is our Constitution?

I don't think you should need a permit to carry CONCEALED.

Ohio doesn't require a "permit" to open carry and doesn't need to.

You shouldn't need a permit to exercise a right!
You are not alone on that; I did it too first, but fortunately I read the question again and then I realized my mistake

I did not vote because the choice that I wanted is not there. I have a permit to CC but I do not mind people who want to OC either. It is their choice where applicable. In Missouri, there are counties where you can OC and counties where you can't. Where we live is the latter...we can't OC. It would have been nice because it is easier for dress up when I prefer to use my Blackhawk as against my IWB.

We have too many restrictions on our rights already! No more permits!

My Concealed Carry permit should be only the constitution as well, but unfortunately I have to adhere to government rules for the time being.

I voted "no" because I don't have, nor need, permission of the state to open carry in Colorado.

    BIG WOOPS!

I miss read the question! I thought it said "I DON'T think you should have to have a permit". That is the way I feel so subtract 1 from that column.
