I don't care as long as it's open carry!!!
I think you should HAVE to have a permit
I don't support open carry
Requiring a permit to do anything changes it from a right to a privilege. For this reason, I selected no. The Constitution acknowledges the right to do so, and therefore you should be able to do so without the need to ask for permission from the state first.
Nope. I like our way here in NC just fine. OC is totally OK. (though you DO need a permit to CC)
It's also nice because while you're waiting up to 6 months for the CC permit, at least you can still carry.

I said no, the last thing I want is any more restrictions on my weapons or right to carry them

No, I don't support that. Open carry is legal in my state and to now require an open carry permit would amount to adding a restriction, something I'm very much opposed to. Our system in this state of legal open carry works fine to my knowledge and if it ain't broke.......................Do you support an open carry permit?

OC without a permit is the only logical answer.
Why would we support another infringement?

reason I put the first 2 is because to be honest if it came to a vote here in texas for open carry but you had to have a permit to do it I would vote NO. It would be completely wrong. No permit should be needed. I was just curious of the attitudes of others on it. I completely agree
Colorado is an open carry state. No permit needed.

I voted NO. Because I really don't support any kind of permit that I need to exercise a God given right that in enumerated in the US Constitution! The 2A should be all that is needed for anyone to carry either concealed or openly.
But, as far a permits go, my Tennessee permit is a Handgun Carry Permit. It already makes my open or concealed carry legal in Tennessee. No distinction is made between the two in Tennessee. Either is legal where ever it is legal to carry my gun.
I voted no, of course. As has already been said, how can anyone justify having to have a permit to exercise a right that's guaranteed by the Constitution?
