Hello,

I have searched and searched for an answer to whether or not I can bring a break down .22LR with me camping. I plan to do some camping in the northern parts of Michigan in either State Parks or National Parks. I want to bring it just to have and also to take some small game while camping for food.

I know that a .22 is not the first choice for a defensive gun out in the Michigan woods but it for peace of mind too.

Thanks in advance!

Are you hunting out of Season? because that is a no-no... and call the local DNR/State Police for a good answer.... o and I wouldn't think about using a .22LR as self-defense especial not in the backwoods.. JMO (just my opinion)
