Sorry, I am unsure where the harrassment was. Trooper asked owner and informed carrier. End of story.
I guess my question to all of you; would you being from a country in which guns are only carried by the government tell someone carrying the gun to get out without a worry of being the recipient of the gun being carried?
We are called for the most inane things because people are afraid to confront another.
We had a pursuit of an unlicensed chinese alien who fled because he was unlicensed and when caught, he thought we were going to shoot him in the back of the head while in the woods. Then in booking, we had to take his personal items while being held in lockup and his first question was if he was going to get his expensive watch back. Was a wake up call for me understanding the type of policing that most people experience out side of this country.

This is a small organization that wants attention.
The guy knew what the officer was there for and tried to set him up. The officer did nothing wrong so the camera went into the pocket and the harrassment complaint started.
This is such a non issue that is clear that this is an agenda being pushed at the expense of the officer.
Shame on you..there are better ways of getting attention..
Oh, by the way, I am a ccw instructor, LEO and support OC..but this I do not support.

Oh I understand now, thanks ...So, since you were there and have more information than I have from watching the same tape, please explain to me the words I myself heard the officer speak (on that same tape):

Who is this mysterious "He" that the officer is referring to?
To clarify: "He" as in that person over there "said" spoke to the officer "he saw you carry a gun in here." a man with a gun came in here.
Like I said before, this is a non-issue. The cop didn't do anything wrong and to insist he did is just foolish. There are plenty of times when police overstep their authority. This is not one of them.

The more I hear the bleating from this particular OC group the less and less I want to hear from them - its sad because I think its a worthy cause. Unfortunately its being represented by some really poor spokesmen, really poor tactics, and REALLY poor judgement.
my last 2 cents with this thread.

Like many of you here I believe in the 2A cause but like many here I am beggining have my concerns about this crowd, in particular this guy. After purusing around his/churches website I felt the organization (if not the cops) needed to know how they were being exposed.
I learned from this that the pedobear is a mascot for pedophiles on the internet. While he may not be a pedophile he certainly bears looking into if for nothing else potential theft of Telecommunications.
See the email exchange below with the church.

Dear Paster and Deacon - I am just a member of a self defense internet forum but I have been made aware of some facts that may be at minimum bothersome to you and could be illegal ranging from endangering your tax exempt status to pedophilia. I hope it's not that bad.
During discussion on the internet forum it came to light the individual owning the car in the pictures at link 5 had had a run in with the local sherriff and a state trooper. Through the discussion on the internet link 5 was posted to show the car the was involved (he was accused of impersonating a police) and through the magic computers other links were found such as 3 and 4. At link four there is mention of a child molester in one cartoon and some stange photos. While being gay is perfectly legal there are some very distasteful photos in link 4.
The problem is both links 1 and 2 are your home page. So, that is my concern for your organization. It appears someone is using it for their own private use not for the tax exempt .org use. As well the local or state authorities may want to have a closer look.
I don't mean to intrude and I hope this information is useful to you.

Dear Mr. rolyat63,
Thank you for your email. These things are more than bothersome to us and since I know who this individual is I will be able to take up the troubling issues with him. If there is anything else I need to be made aware of, please do not hesitate to inform me.

Unfortunately, in this incident, we only have half of the story! We do not have the account from the Trooper nor do we know what the employees, manager, other customers observed prior to the camera being pressed to record. I mean who sets up at video camera at their restaurant table??? Answer - Nutjobs!

As for the cop harassing him?!? Really?!? So with this kind of logic, an officer comes into a lets say a coffee shop, staffed by a couple of shy high school kids and steps over a 6 foot tall, homeless man that is lying on the floor of the coffee shop... Now mind you, there are no signs posted about sleeping your crack high off on the floor, and these kids were not only afraid to speak to this bum, but they were also afraid to call 911 (because that is for emergencies, right?) So my question, should the Trooper just order his peppermint mocha grande and leave without saying a word???
IN this case, the Trooper, after asking the employees, owners or whomever he spoke with, ascertains that firearms are not permitted, and there is no visibly posted sign (of course we only have the word of the OC'er with the video camera on this), so the Trooper informs the OC'er about the no firearm rule, and then relocates himself away (opening up the reactive distance) and then stands off to the side in a classic interview stance, after all he is observing an armed subject (who apparently is now upset) making him leave under order by that officer. (Probably per some type of police academy training.)
I also question as to why, if this person, after seeing that the police were eating at the same establishment he was arriving at, decided that it was then necessary to unpack his weapon and gear up for his egg rolls???
Obviously, there ave been past confrontations with this guy and the police in the past.
If these events actually transpired in such a way that this person alleges, than why not go in person to that station and either speak with that Trooper directly or his supervisor???
Probably because that is what a sane, reasonable and intelligent person would do.
Nope, this guy is gonna paste links to his video (possibly edited) to the whole world and visit every firearms forum he can find and post some more banter as he seeks volunteers from his impromptu posse that will march down to city hall!!!!
I thank God that the police in my state or expected to seek out crime instead of waltzing right by it ignoring it or waiting for something to occur first! This applies to potential problems, better to solve them when you are there and on location instead of something blossoming after the officer leaves!
In fact, if a similiar incident would have occurred in my state, and the Trooper just ignored the fellow sitting at a restaurant with a video camera recording while strapped with a firearm and left. That Trooper would probably have a lot to explain to his supervisor for not at least checking to ensure that everything was okay with the staff of that establishment.
And for those that think a police officer cannot ask either a business or even yourself as question about anything, and for no reason required, well you need to read and learn the rest of the Bill of Rights.
I am all for gun rights and basically other rights, but ONLY after I KNOW both sides and the entire story!!!
Especially, before I criticize a professional that puts his life on the line for others...
In closing, I would not verbally assault or resort to name calling of those same professionals!
Makes the rest of us wonder about you and your mentality? Hopefully you have paid your taxes and don't own an airplane.

I'm thinking this thread has run its course. Time to put it to bed.
