I still have one 5-cent wooden nickel from Sambo’s coffee shop restaurant. We gave them out to good customers back in the late 60’s. Regular pagans had to pay the full 10-cents.

Very cool. I no longer make fun of the woman for liking Starbucks, and will have to join her next time.

I don't have a problem with a "canned response" -- they get thousands of emails every day. Can't afford to personally write a unique response for each one.
I say applaud them (and support them) for doing something we wish more businesses would do.

Hello,
Thanks for contacting Starbucks Coffee Company.
For Starbucks, the safety of our customers and partners is a paramount concern. We have existing security protocols in place to handle situations related to safety in our stores. We will continue to adhere closely to local, state and federal laws and the counsel of law enforcement regarding this issue.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.
Warm Regards,
Madeline A.

Well obviously it is a message in a can.
Samson seems to have added his own line in there. Perhaps he is pro-gun.
Unless they have udercover armed security. I can only assume the protocol is to call the police and assume the fetal position.
hey you got the same one I did lol

I'd like to email Starbucks myself.
Anyone care to share the email they used so I can use it or part of it as a template to email them myself?
1. Yes I'm lazy.
2. As a newbie who hasn't purchased his first gun I'm sure you'd put points in the email I wouldn't think of.
Thanks
Tony

Yahoo news had a story today (3/3/10) about Starbucks.
Starbucks will recognize and allow "open carry" per state or local laws.
