Starbucks does not have a corporate policy regarding customers and weapons; we defer to federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding this issue," Starbucks' customer relations department said in response to the Brady Campaign's request.

I don't know that any group is doing anything but there are quite a few individuals who have expressed support. Take a look at Starbuck's facebook page

Timid people sleep peacefully at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Oh reading from that sight makes my head hurt...
The open display of firearms in public places is inherently threatening and intimidating, and poses risks to those nearby, to law enforcement and to the community.
As a Sheriff’s Lieutenant in California put it, “Open carry advocates create a potentially very dangerous situation,” because when police respond to a “man with a gun” call, they have no idea what the intentions of the gun carrier may be and “the result could be deadly” (San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, 2010).
"OH NOES! A man with is purchasing a cup of coffee! OH NOES! Now he is sitting down and peacefully drinking his coffee! Quick, someone call the police on this guy!
One of the most dangerous political philosophies afflicting America today is the belief that we can’t allow anyone to suffer the natural consequences of their own stupidity.

Everyone
should have the right to sit in a coffee shop or a restaurant with their families, including their children, without being confronted with the threatening presence of openly-displayed guns.
Keyword there being should. We DO have the right to bear arms abeit not as uninfringed as the founders meant.
