    NC-Star Tac Light/laser Decision

I'm looking into a new tac light/laser for my xd45.

Are the NC Stars any good or just a ripoff type brand?
Is the light bright? Is the laser accurate? How is its longitivety?

I can't find any place online that sells the light/laser quick release model.
Anyone have a link to who sells them?

Or maybe someone has other suggestions to another good brand that's not hundreds of dollars.

I do like how the NC-Stars have the pointed edges along the rim of the light though, would pack a nasty blow to someone.

The light is not bad.....especially for the price...NC star laser for hand guns usually just don't hold up. The only reliable combo is going going to be a Streamlight TLR2 or something of this caliber.

NC Star and any kind of life safety equipment don't go together. For fun their fine to bet you life on. Nope.

Been using their light/laser combo on my 220 in 45acp , no problems yet. I also use their compact scopes on my AR with success. The light/laser fits my 220 tightly, but is loose on my M&P

I was at the range one day using my Streamlight TLR2 and a guy two lanes over was using NC Star on his pistol. He kept asking me if mine was always changing aim points, flickering, etc. I told him no and looked at his light set up, as noted above, OK for airsoft, not OK for the rigors of firearms
